Dog Training

Profound Hound training session requirements:

  • Standard nylon or leather collar - no check/choke or prong collars will be allowed.  No harnesses allowed at Beginner Obedience classes but may be used for Advanced classes or Sports training.
  • Standard lead - no retractable leads.  These are not suitable for beginners (human or dog).
  • Treats - not the usual food treats your dog receives but 'special' treats such as a mix of cheese / cooked meats diced in small pieces.  Toys such as balls, a tuggie, a soft toy - whichever your dog prefers.
  • A slightly hungry dog - a recently fed dog will just want to sleep and food treats won't have the same effect if they're full.

How many times have you heard that if your dogs wants to "run out the door ahead of you / sit on the seat beside you / growls when you try to take away a bone that they are looking to dominate you and take over the world and you need to show them who's boss... "  100% rubbish!!!

In our classes we not only show you how to train your dog in a positive and fun manner but we debunk all the ridiculous myths that you may have heard from uneducated sources.
